| Each piece is individually made, carved, and glazed with the best attention to detail and craftsmanship that I am capable of giving to it. My signature on the bottom of each piece is my affirmation that I am the sole designer and maker. Each piece is dated, numbered, signed, and copyrighted by me and cannot be reproduced in any form without my written permission. I make my home in rural north Florida, on a small farm with my family and a menagerie of animals. My work is reflective of my surroundings.
I became a Christian in 2001 and my scriptural work is the result of a new direction in both my personal life and in my work.
After working with earthenware and stoneware clays for a number of years, I began to concentrate on porcelain for its smooth, pure surface, conducive to the intricate carving and clarity of colors. Due to the fragility of unfired porcelain, it is a constant challenge to push the limits of the form and the carving. Once fired, porcelain is the strongest of the clays and with a little care can last for many generations. I believe in a person selecting a piece especially for them, and no one, anywhere, will have one exactly like it.
